"Budget Bucky Skeleton 4th quality 5'6" tall without stand". He is 5'6" and weighs a robust 28 lbs. He is made out of hard durable plastic.
Another thing you should know about Bucky Skeletons is his bones were intended for 1st quality skeletons but did not make the grade so he is a Frankenstein of sorts. Sometimes he might be discolored, have a few screws loose etc. However at $99 he's quite a bargain compared with a 1st quality skeleton which easily cost hundreds of dollars.
Buyer beware there is a manufacturer of skeletons using the "Bucky" name. He calls his skeletons the MrSkeleton Max. However he freely uses the Bucky Skeleton name on his Ebay site bonestogo as well as his main site. Obviously he wants people to think they're getting a real Bucky Skeleton. In truth what they will be getting is a counterfeit product.
Let's review the differences. The Mr Max is PVC. His bones were never destined for 1st quality skeletons. Instead they were only meant to produce a light weight pvc duplication of a real Bucky Skeleton
Lightweight? Yes the Mr Max Skeleton only weights between 20-22 lbs. The PVC used is not the rigid kind found in the plumbing section of hardware stores but rather a lighter grade not meant to stand harsh impact.
Impact? One of the best things about a real Bucky Skeleton is the fact he is highly durable. I have personally dropped one accidentally from a tree while trying to hang him up. He fell his entire skeletal length onto the hard ground. He did not break any bones. Bucky is made tough. Why his like Tonka tough. Now if you're running a home haunt or a pro haunt, do you really want to risk wasting your investment by selecting a fake knockoff? That why serious haunters only choose a real Bucky Skeleton.
It's a confusing market though. Mr Skeleton and his resellers like to borrow pictures of a real Bucky Skeleton and never seem to show what a Mr Max skeleton even looks like. The second picture down is one I believe to be a Mr. Max. He doesn't seem to have a real Bucky Skeleton's sharp lines and defined features. Why he rather looks like an over glorified "Bluckie" skeleton! A Bluckie I think also doubles as a pool float.
I feel bad for the people who have fallen victim to this sort of dubious marketing scheme. I shall do my best to spread the word of clarity. So if you're interested in a Real Bucky Skeleton, you've come to the right place.
